Join Device Technologies to hear Dr Jamie Cannon discuss da Vinci technology application and technique for colon and rectal resection. Dr Cannon will discuss her robotic surgery practice, associated patient outcomes, and demonstrate how she uses da Vinci Xi for colorectal resection.
Dr Jamie Cannon
Dr. Jamie Cannon is an Associate Professor of Surgery at University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB). She went to medical school at University of Arizona, did her general surgery training at Carolinas Medical Center, and colorectal surgery training with Georgia Colon and Rectal. She has a busy clinical practice focusing on robotic surgery, colorectal cancer, and inflammatory bowel disease. She is the Program Director for the UAB colorectal surgery fellowship, and directs the general surgery resident’s robotic surgery training. Having done more than 1300 robotic colorectal resections, Dr. Cannon also teaches robotic colorectal surgery to practicing surgeons across the globe.
