Guest Speaker: Dr Danette Wright

Dr Wright is Head of Department of General Surgery at Blacktown and WestmeadHospitals and is part of the RACS NSW State Executive Committee. She also has interests in patient safety and clinical governance and is involved with the Clinical Excellence Commission. Danette is a general and colorectal surgeon with subspecialty interests in intestinal failure, inflammatory bowel disease and complex abdominal wall construction. Danette completed her general surgical training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Concord Hospitals. She completed CSSANZ Colorectal Fellowship at WestmeadHospital and Austin Hospital. She completed a fellowship in Complex Colorectal Surgery (Intestinal Failure and Inflammatory Bowel Disease) and Abdominal Wall Reconstruction at Salford Royal Foundation Trust, Manchester, United Kingdom.
