Dr Tracy Hull MD

Staff Surgeon – Department of Colon & Rectal Surgery – Cleveland Clinic

Tracy Hull, MD, has been Staff Surgeon in the Department of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Cleveland Clinic since 1993. She is the Section Chief of Inflammatory Bowel Disease within the Department and also holds the Thomas and Sandra Sullivan Family Endowed Chair in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She received her Doctorate of Medicine, cum laude, from The Ohio State University in 1986. She did her surgical residency at SUNY Syracuse, New York from 1986-1991. Her fellowship was done at Cleveland Clinic from 1991-1992. 

Tracy is active in numerous professional societies including Alpha Omega Alpha, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the American College of Surgeon and many others. She currently serves as the secretary for the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.  She also is the chair of the Written Examination committee for the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. 

She has authored numerous peer reviewed articles, and many book chapters, and been the editor of two text books on colon and rectal surgery. Additionally, she speaks at the major meetings around the world. Dr Hull takes care of patients with all forms of colorectal disease, but has a special interest in Redo pelvic surgery including redo pelvic pouches. She also specialises in surgically treating patients with ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, pelvic floor dysfunction, among other colorectal diseases.
